Did God Create Satan?
If God created everything does that mean He created the devil? Well, the simple answer is, yes. God created Lucifer, also known as Satan. The question is, did He create him, sinful? No, he did not. He created Lucifer with an ability to make a decision and Lucifer chose to disobey God and actually wanted to make himself God. That is what caused him to fall. He then tried to use that same ploy on Adam and Eve and brought sin into mankind. So the issue is, did God know that Satan would do that? Of course, He did. He knows everything. But that does not mean He caused it. We see in Isaiah chapter 14, start verse 13, this is referenced to Satan and his fall when he said,  “I will ascend to heaven, above the stars of God, I will set my throne on high, I will sit on the mount of the assembly in the far reaches of North, I will ascend above the heights and clouds, I will make myself like the Most High”. You see what cause Satan the fall was his own pride. God gave him the ability to choose. He chose wrongly. So did God create Satan? Yes, He created everything that exists. But He did not cause Satan to fall.
