Leviticus 14:1-32

The Role of the Priest in Gold and the Role of the Healed Leper in Pink

Day 1

1. Leper bought to the priest (v. 2)
2. Priest Goes outside the camp (v. 3)
3. Priest inspects the healed leper
4. Priest gets preparations: (v.4)
   1. Two birds
   2. Cedarwood
   3. A scarlet string
   4. Hyssop
5. Priest kills one bird in a pot over running water (v. 5)
6. Priest dips the live bird, cedarwood, scarlet string, and hyssop into the blood of the dead bird (v. 6)
7. Priest sprinkles the healed leper 7 times (v. 7)
8. Priest pronounces the healed leper clean
9. Priest lets the live bird go free over the open field
10. Leper washes clothes (v. 8)
11. Leper shaves all hair
12. Leper baths in water
13. Leper enters camp but stays outside his tent for 7 days

Day 7

1. Leper shaves all hair (on head, beard, eyebrows, all) (v. 9)
2. Leper washes clothes
3. Leper baths in water

Day 8 (for most people)

1. Leper gets offerings: (v. 10)
   1. 2 male lambs without defect
   2. A yearling ewe lamb without defect
   3. 3/10^th of fine flour mixed with oil
   4. 1 log of oil
2. Priest offers male lamb as a guilt offering (v. 12)
3. Priest offers oil as a wave offering
4. Priest slaughters lamb as guilt offering like a sin offering (v. 13)
5. Priest puts the blood of the guilt offering on the right ear lobe, right thumb and right big toe of the leper (v. 14)
6. Priest pours oil into his left hand (v. 15)
7. Priest dips his right finger into the oil and sprinkles it 7 times before the Lord (v. 16)
8. Priest dips oil on right ear lobe, right thumb and right big toe of the leper (v. 17)
9. Priest puts the rest of the oil on the head of the leper (v. 18)
10. Priest offers a sin offering (v. 19)
11. Priest makes atonement for leper
12. Priest slaughters the burnt offering and grain offering on the alter
13. Priest makes atonement for leper (v. 20)
14. Leper clean

Day 8 (for the poor)

17. Leper gets offerings: (v. 21)
    1. 1 male lamb
    2. 1/10^th of fine flour mixed with oil
    3. 1 log of oil
    4. 2 turtledoves or 2 young pigeons (v. 22)
18. Priest offers male lamb as a guilt offering (v. 24)
19. Priest offers oil as a wave offering
20. Priest slaughters lamb as guilt offering (v. 25)
21. Priest puts the blood of the guilt offering on the right ear lobe, right thumb and right big toe of the leper
22. Priest pours oil into his left hand (v. 26)
23. Priest dips his right finger into the oil and sprinkles it 7 times before the Lord (v. 27)
24. Priest dips oil on right ear lobe, right thumb and right big toe of the leper (v. 17)
