A Biblical Response to Black Lives Matters

Written by Justin Pierce

June 28, 2020

We have had much feedback from our podcasts exposing the Black Lives Matters Marxist political agenda and their anti-Christ, Satanic beliefs (Here is the link to both shows (https://youtu.be/gioXV1YSayw) (https://youtu.be/Je4pMUslmR0). Most comments were positive, yet some were negative. We took a lot of time studying the history, philosophy, and Socio-Marxist beliefs of the organization’s founders. Dr. Silvestro studied the atheistic and evolutionary background of the “Woke” culture within the BLM movement and Socialism as a whole. He even compiled an impressive bit of notes and taught these recently at church. (Here is the link for your edification: http://www.christrockchurch.com/resources/sermons/?sermon_id=188)

Make no mistake, we strongly and collectively affirm that this movement is Satanic, and we have a lot of proofs from the leadership’s own words and writings, as well as warnings from other strong Christian voices who love the Lord, the Body of Christ, and the world at large. These godly leaders vehemently plead for biblical Christians to open their eyes to the dangers, nature, and anti-Christian beliefs of Cultural Marxism in all of its many forms. Pastor Voddie Baucham, for instance, has powerfully preached about Racism and Cultural Marxism:  https://youtu.be/FoJGYCc7EUg; https://youtu.be/GRMFBdDDTkIhttps://youtu.be/pd1swytlzBg;

One particular gentleman wrote to us to explain his strong objections against our position. And so, I thought this might be a good opportunity to respond and hopefully help those who really haven’t studied the issues as well as those who are, perhaps, being gullibly sucked into the vortex of the “Woke-Righteous” (my term) culture.  It is also intended to reprove all those who are being fooled into thinking that the right biblical response is simply to join the hashtag movement. We affirm the value and worth of all black lives from the womb, to the men in blue, to those being slaughtered on the streets by gang violence, drug culture, and even inner-ethnic crime. We agree that there has been a very wicked element in this and every society that has oppressed different people for many different reasons.

And while we readily acknowledge that we are living in a world of sin and depravity where men hate each other without cause and teach oppression, hate, cruelty, and racism, as Christians we are compelled to disavow all of the Anti-Christ, Marxist, Darwinian racist doctrines.  We must also disavow their teachers and proponents ( be they professor, pastor, priest, celebrity, media, or politician) who want to create a victim class of warriors who are bestowed the power and protected right to steal, kill, and destroy. These are all attributes of Satan, which Jesus warned about in John 10:10.

Here is my response to the email:

Dear Sir, (name excluded out of respect for a fellow image bearer, we are not woke and don’t affirm the cancel culture of the Socialist Leftist).

Thank you very much for your comments and for expressing your heartfelt emotion from your perspective. You said a lot of things that are very serious and need to be pondered and addressed. Yet we want to consider each issue from a Biblical rather than emotional point of view. I can only guess by your opening statement that you disagree with the title when you stated that “I was led by the Spirit to share my thoughts. This is shamefully and inappropriately misleading and a defilement of the Christian name.” We took a lot of time and energy to study the teachings, rhetoric, background, and position statements of the BLM organization. We have also looked at those who are funding them and who they are supporting. We understand that this issue is polarizing to many, but it clearly must be addressed within the Body of Christ.

It is our responsibility to expose the Philosophies of the world and how they are in complete opposition and indeed misaligned within the Biblical framework of creation; gender; ethnicity; the fall of man, sin, and depravity. We stand upon The Scripture alone as the final positions on law and justice; persecution; oppression; victimization. We clearly recognized and exposed multiple times that Darwinian racist narrative clearly exist, and that it is an evil by-product of teaching that humanity is the product of random chance accidents in the Evolutionary, Big Bang framework.

It is our obligation to speak the truth of Scripture in love. As we are called to expose the lies that deceive the world. Yet it is not loving to speak the truth in a society where the narrative is that all opinions outside the correct political narrative is evil.

You stated “This is shamefully and inappropriately misleading and a defilement of the Christian name. Yes, Jesus is the answer. Yes, he is the truth and life. Yes, he brings eternal life to all who make him Christ and Lord. But to not bring to light the current injustice of racism and not expose it as it is, but rather highlight other ‘evils’ in this world sounds very very twisted.”

The stated positions of the Marxist behind the Black Lives Matters organization is as follows from their own website. https://blacklivesmatter.com/what-we-believe/

  • We are guided by the fact that all Black lives matter, regardless of actual or perceived sexual identity, gender identity, gender expression, economic status, ability, disability, religious beliefs or disbeliefs, immigration status, or location.
  • We make space for transgender brothers and sisters to participate and lead.
  • We are self-reflexive and do the work required to dismantle cisgender privilege and uplift Black trans folk, especially Black trans women who continue to be disproportionately impacted by trans-antagonistic violence.
  • We build a space that affirms Black women and is free from sexism, misogyny, and environments in which men are centered.
  • We practice empathy. We engage comrades with the intent to learn about and connect with their contexts.
  • We make our spaces family-friendly and enable parents to fully participate with their children. We dismantle the patriarchal practice that requires mothers to work “double shifts” so that they can mother in private even as they participate in public justice work.
  • We disrupt the Western-prescribed nuclear family structure requirement by supporting each other as extended families and “villages” that collectively care for one another, especially our children, to the degree that mothers, parents, and children are comfortable.
  • We foster a queer‐affirming network. When we gather, we do so with the intention of freeing ourselves from the tight grip of heteronormative thinking, or rather, the belief that all in the world are heterosexual (unless s/he or they disclose otherwise).

There are a multitude of problems with these position statements, namely that many of these are stated sins against the One True God. As such, they destroy the God ordained home, family, and marriage structure. BLM Subverts Gods commands and Biblically defined roles for gender and sexual expression. They flaunt Gods decrees against sexual perversion in all its forms and proudly stand with the LGBTQIP community in their desire to change the moral compass of the world into affirming everything that Scripture clearly warns to be damning sin. They denigrate God’s blessing on marriage and they even state that their” intention is to free ourselves from the tight grip of heterosexual thinking.” How can any devout Christian express support for the destruction of the Biblical family and God’s commands for Biblical marriage, sex, and procreation? These sins are clearly defined by God as sins which will exclude the practitioner and supporter from God’s Heaven and consign those living in such sin to the eternal judgment of God (Romans 1:18-32; Ephesians 4:19; Lev. 18:22; 20:13; 1 Corinth 6:9-11). We understand that  devout Christians have been misled to believing that supporting such and organization is Godly and loving, but the Scripture clearly tells us that if we truly love God and men we plead with them to forsake their sin and be reconciled with God. 2 Corinthians 5:20-21 Therefore, we are ambassadors for Christ, as though God were making an appeal through us; we beg you on behalf of Christ, be reconciled to God. 21 He made Him who knew no sin to be sin on our behalf, so that we might become the righteousness of God in Him.

We clearly stated and exposed the truth that George Floyd was murdered, and Derek Chauvin was clearly the murderer. But how can you, me, or anyone know his heart to know that was indeed racially motivated? We leave that up to the God ordained court system, not the riotous mob of public opinion. The evidence is overwhelming that Derek Chauvin and Mr. Floyd knew each other and Chauvin had a personal issue against him. I watched the video and I know why he had his hands in his pockets, and how he violated every rule in the book in his rage against Mr. Floyd. I don’t care for one second about any of the criminal past of Mr. Floyd, and if you will be honest, we didn’t even bring that up. As for the other cases we discussed involving “hands up don’t shoot,” that was proven to be a lie. But facts do not matter when feelings overtake logic and reason. The very fact that Chauvin was arrested and charged with murder, shows that the law is being upheld, and even though flawed, it is still the best system of justice in the world.

I am not sure if you are really looking for a coherent response, or if you are just looking to vent, but if you listened to both of the shows we presented, you clearly heard us decry the wickedness of racism. We stand against racism, because it is anti-Christ and based on the hatred of our fellow man, which is a sin. Jesus said to hate others is murder of the heart! Racism is the byproduct of the teaching of humanistic God hating Marxism, Socialism, Communism, Darwinianism, Critical Race Theory, Intersectionality, Survival of the Fittest, and Evolution combined into Big Bang Cosmology. Not to mention that it is a hate filled denial of God, Creation, the fall, and the biblical teaching that man was made as the image of God, by God (Imago Dei).

The most important truth that we came to tell is that this narrative produces hate, factions, divisions, partiality, and is primarily a result of the fall of man, and the depravity of the soul. The only solution is the gospel of Jesus Christ, not blindly joining a social movement that supports the destruction of every foundation that God put in place for humanity.

You asked, or stated “How do you expect to be a light to the world, when you aren’t willing to dive into the hurts that people have faced because of racism? How do you expect healing through Jesus, when you don’t act like Jesus and his ability to empathize with the pain that the African American community has faced.”  Our answer to this statement is that, according to Scripture, all of humanity is sin stained (Romans 5:12), dead in trespass and sin (Eph 2:1-5), and filled with hate against God and their fellow man.  Titus 3:3 states “For we also once were foolish ourselves, disobedient, deceived, enslaved to various lusts and pleasures, spending our life in malice and envy, hateful, hating one another.”

The very things that BLM, Marxist-Socialist and Communist stand against, God instituted as a protection for mankind. The Law is not made for righteous men, but it is made for sinners. If we Loved God perfectly and our neighbors, there would be no need for any law. But, since we all sin, God instituted, the family with parents. Government-with the Law and the sword.  And the church as the Scriptural, moral, and spiritual protection, charged to proclaim the gospel to every creature, by the power of the Holy Spirit who exposed the consciences of men to the reality of their own personal sin. God instituted true religion, worship, love, and discipline to bolster the morality of humanity. He proclaimed what sin is, transgression of His Law (1 John 3:4). His throne is the foundation of justice and the true judge of all in-justice. He declared what is truth and what is Law then He warned about true justice and judgment which is sure to come. God declared that we are to uphold justice, seek mercy and to walk humbly with our God Micah 6:8. God has declared what all His followers are to do.

As stated above, God placed four Holy Spirit empowered restraints upon man to protect him from acting out the desires of his wicked heart. Let me clarify.

  1. The God given Conscience which works to convict us that we have sinned against God and that we personally stand guilty before Him, also shows us right from wrong and informs how we are to treat our fellow man. That conscience is seared by continued rebellion against God.
  2. The God ordained family, with parents collectively training children, restraining sin, and teaching moral standards. This is where children learn to honor and obey authority, parents are molded into loving, forbearing, longsuffering teachers of morality and discipline as instruments of God who are the mirror of Christ and His church. The BLM movement publicly states that it wants to destroy God ordained roles for the family, further eroding morality, and creating depraved, rebellious children, beholden to corrupt governments, and false ideologies.
  3. God ordained Government as a restraint to evil, and a protection for the good, but as political leaders grow from within corrupt families, they lead with wicked intent. The family erosion produces worse leaders, worse criminals and immoral police who take advantage of immoral policies. While 99% of all the officers are great men and women, the 1% are as vile as their black hearts can get away with. And you see the result of the teaching of godlessness within our rulers.
  4. The last is the Church. Which by the power of the Holy Spirit, is that salt and light (which you were asking about) that God placed into this world to show the world that hate and anger; destruction and murder are not given to man as tools of vengeance. God calls the church to proclaim His exclusive Godhead. The magnificent nature and person of Jesus the Christ. The truth about sin, the standard of righteousness, and the warning of judgment to come. But, when wolves, heretics, false teachers, and race hustlers creep into the church, seeking political advantage for their own financial gain. Eventually, that last of God’s protections is so eroded and powerless, that the world will think it is doing their god a favor by destroying the body of Christ. BLM wants to destroy Christianity as a matter of course, and they are publicly stating that they will be tearing down churches. https://hotair.com/archives/allahpundit/2020/06/22/shaun-king-time-tear-images-white-jesus/

Sir, dear reader, dear Christian, please understand that we believe that all black lives matter, no one should be oppressed, no one mistreated, no one hated, no one harmed. Including those in the abortion mill and those being murdered in the streets. We believe that the solution is not found in “virtue signaling” and blindly supporting any hashtag movement. As we stated time and again, the only solution is found in Jesus, not in the false victim narrative that does nothing but further a Socio-Marxist agenda which the founders affirm as their foundational underpinning https://nationalfile.com/video-blm-co-founder-says-we-are-trained-marxists/.

Jesus did not affirm false victim narratives, nor did he overthrow corrupt governments. He did not raise an army or teach His followers to win souls by an act of war or terrorism. He said He came to be our example, to be persecuted, hated for our sakes, outcast, mistreated by everyone. By His stripes, His Bruises, His beatings we were Healed. When He was hated, He did not hate in return, but He showed His endless love for His people in that He gladly died for them and paid their sin debt.  We are told to follow after the example of Christ and to love our enemies. Feed our enemies, proclaim freedom In Christ to the oppressors, and pray for them. He did speak out about how sinners in the world mistreats everyone including other races and ethnicities. He didn’t end there, He also set the standard for how we respond to racism with the Woman at the Well, and every Samaritan, Greek or Roman that He encountered.

Jesus did not give a rousing oration against the systemic oppression of the Romans, or the Sanhedrin. He did not address any of the hot button issues the way the people wanted and expected. The Scripture reveals that the Lord began to address the personal sins of individuals, exposing their seared consciences to the blast furnace of the Law of God. They felt the weight of guilt for their own personal depravity. Then they were shown that their only hope was found in the sacrifice of the Divine Judge, who bore their sins upon the Cross.

Peter and Paul catapulted that teaching into the world, by looking past race and the issues that the world wanted to force as the conversational narrative. They did not address the felt needs of racism. The financial inequality of the oppressive Roman Empires Cast system which divided based on a social hierarchy. They addressed the fact that all mankind was guilty under Gods judgment and everyone was without excuse. Then they went to every group and place of influence and they proclaimed the exclusivity of God and His Christ as the only hope for freedom from sin, hate, evil and oppression.

The answer to these issues that you are addressing will not be fixed by supporting a Marxist group that champions Satan’s desire to destroy every restraint that God has placed in this world. You cannot support the stated goals which Christ died to rid His elect from. Their goals are Satanic and will lead multitudes to hell through a false gospel and false teachings.

The BLM movement will not foster peace and forgiveness, It refuses reconciliation with God and with their fellow man. In order to continue their movement, they must have help in continuing the hate and division, and they cannot allow reconciliation to be achieved. Ask yourself why people today are supposed to provide reparations? Is this and act of atonement? Is there a promise of forgiveness? What was the sin which each person is guilty of? Please identify the actual people and their actual crime and sin? Societal guilt, White guilt, and victim narratives will never serve to reconcile God to men or bring peace between men.  Dr. John MacArthur stated this fact as a warning to believers about BLM’s anti-Christ agenda and he warned that no Christian can support this unbiblical movement https://youtu.be/KJ_a89AGvCc

Here is the full sermon that lays out the entire Biblical perspective on the role of Christians in addressing this particular movement. https://youtu.be/ah3x8MKPHrY

As Pastor Voddie Baucham states, it might be good to know a person’s story, but it is not necessary for us to walk in their shoes before we can address their greatest issue. We all have the same issue, and that one is founded in a fallen sin nature. It is good and nice to know the story of close friends and congregants, but I can still minister to them in love without knowing all their history. What is being missed in the conversation is that we all are alike and there is only one solution to the skin problem. The solution is to recognize that we don’t have a skin problem, we have a sin problem. We demand others submit to us, we demand to be heard, we demand our piece and our share of the world and are willing to become murders to get it or keep it. Our issue is sin.

I  want to conclude this letter/article with a plea to all who are willing to soundly consider our motives, and our desire to see the world brought to peace in Christ, and with each other by the power of the gospel.

Sir, (dear reader) I can tell that most of you desire peace, justice, and equality within all people. And we agree with you, but peace is not found in the world, or God hating ideologies. Racism will never be crushed by defunding the police, dismantling the government, claiming systemic racism, or burning down the society. Atonement will not be satisfied by joining with false religions or anti-God, Satanic movements in order to appease them. Something will have to replace the system that BLM is wanting to destroy, and so far, that is the Socialism that makes up their foundation. The heart of the problem is the problem of the heart. It is each and every fallen sinner acting like sinners. There remains only one answer, and it is not found in hate, division, murder, pillaging, destruction of property and burning the nation. The answer is the gospel. I pray this helps https://youtu.be/VFa8YaVIm7A .

Thank you for reaching out and please consider this carefully.

This is such an important issue for the body of Christ and the world to understand that I will be doing another article soon on “The Biblical Response to Woke Righteousness, and Racial Reconciliation.”

In Christ.

Pastor Justin.
